Happy Birthday Daddy!

The summer of 2010 continues to be a busy one! We finished off July with a visit from good friends and celebrating Rob's 31st Birthday! The beginning of August brings another trip, this time out to Portland! Meanwhile, Parker continues to grow like a weed and amazes us each and every day! At his last check in he weighed almost 27 lbs and was 33.5 inches tall. That puts him in the 60th percentile for weight and 75% for height, the same percentiles as his last visit which means he's growing perfectly! He is nearly done with his vaccine shots. Thank God as it gets harder to watch him get the shots as he gets older. It's like he knows it's coming. He will get a Hep A and a HIB he missed earlier at his two year appointment and then nothing til he is four. He isn't talking a whole lot yet, but we know he understands nearly everything we say and is constantly mimicking us. Here are some of the new things he has learned over the last couple months...

New words- up, bye, and ball. He's almost saying hi, hot, and shoes.
New signs- thank you and more.
Pointing to objects correctly in his word book when we say what they are- he can point out baby, doggy, cat, ball.
Climbing onto things like the sofa/table and climbing safely down the correct way.
Using a spoon and knife.
Opening and closing the velcro on his shoes.
Putting things in containers and pulling them out. Especially tupperware, our socks/underwear drawer, and bathtoys.
Giving Eskimo kisses.
Blowing zerberts on our cheeks.
Saying sorry by laying his head on our shoulder or gently touching our cheek.
Standing at the sink on his stool and brushing his teeth (still needs to learn how to spit and gargle water.
Hides his pacifier and then shrugs like he doesn't know where it went.
Spins in circles when we say "spin spin spin" and rolls across the ground when we say "roll roll roll."
Has started pooping on the toilet and in his Froggy Potty.
Tries to say "woof woof" when we as ask him what a doggy says and says "moo" when we ask what a cow says.

Hi Mommy! I left you a surprise in the toilet!

A proud moment for Mommy and Daddy!

What I do best lately... making a huge mess!

More messes...

The face he makes when I ask him to share with his cousin.

Happy 31st Birthday Daddy!

My new friend Lilly makes me giggle!

Can you please stay forever?

Sharing with baby Juliette

Sweet Juliette!

Hard to believe Parker was once that little!

Still loving on corn

Yum yum!

Our last container of formula! We threw it out cause Parker is officially on regular milk! So much cheaper and nicer. He loves it and wants it all the time now!

Helping Daddy blow up my play pool!

Let me show you how to do it Daddy.

Yay! I love the water!
